Maranatha Reformed Church of Christ has a call to co-create with God the Father, proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God thus continuing the atonement work of Jesus Christ, the Son of God the father and facilitating through the gospel the regeneration and sanctification work of the Holy Spirit to bring about the new heaven and the new earth.

    OUR goal

To worship and glorify the almighty God and to expand His kingdom in South Africa and beyond.

    The MRCC wishes to:
    • Grow both quantitatively and qualitatively into the true body of Christ
    • Be Christ to the vulnerable through offering compassionate or diaconal services to members and non-members in adjacent communities
    • Grow financially in order to afford all necessary services such as missionary, pastoral, leadership and management, diaconal services and functions and so forth.

      plan of action

      1. To hold two worship services on a Sunday to cater for all members – even those who have to work on Sundays.
      2. To conduct Bible Studies twice during the week in the evenings to provide spiritual nurturing for advancement of spiritual maturity of our members.
      3. To start and nurture new mission fields to extend boundaries of the MRCC in South Africa and beyond.
      4. To start, develop and practise a scripturally sound healing ministry to attend to the physical ailments, spiritual and psychological challenges of church and community members. This ministry should also encourage healthy living.
      5. To practically care for the most vulnerable members of our church and surrounding communities. Herein included for care are people living with disability, HIV and AIDS, the poor, children, widows, orphans and strangers or aliens.
      6. To affiliate to reformed ecumenical bodies both nationally and internationally to have and enjoy Christian communion and fellowship.
      7. To maximise fund raising – not as a mere means of wealth accumulation but especially for the service of God and God’s people.
      8. To embark on a serious investigation of and search for an investment portfolio that could financially empower the church on short- and long-term bases.
